If you get this reference you are already interested in "Veronica Mars," so there's almost no point in reviewing this Blu-ray. Because, well, you know you're going to buy it anyway. Yes, Kristen Bell returns with the entire "Veronica Mars" cast. They are a bit older, a bit wiser, but they still know how to throw down like only those in Neptune can.

Everything we expect from the first "Veronica Mars" film is here: Snappy dialogue, a sassy main character, amusing supporting players, a compelling mystery, and, of course, the never-ending Piz versus Logan love triangle. If you're a fan of the show, it's good no-nonsense fun with some thrills mixed in. If you've never seen the show, well, you should be ashamed of yourselves. That said, it's easy to watch and does include the prerequisite "here's my entire history summed up in a flashy five minute intro." Either way, it's a fun time. It's not going to win any awards, and it really just feels like an extra-long episode of the show, but since it's been off the air for ten years, it's thrilling to have Veronica back.

Special features are fine and will please fans who want anything extra they can of our modern day Nancy Drew. But ultimately, it's all promo material that doesn't really make or break your enjoyment of the movie or the disc.
