Those more into nightlife culture know that Bell and his partner Michael Chu (DJ MC2) are two of the nicest people in the community. Bell was hospitalized in Puerto Vallarta (while in rehearsal for a touring production of "The Golden Girls"), and Bell's partner Chu has joined him, and the pair have returned to San Francisco, although with Bell still in a coma.
