Brother vs. Brother Returns to HGTV
EDGE READ TIME: 2 MIN.
HGTV's "Brother vs. Brother" returns this summer for a third season showdown-but this time, it's personal. With no teams and no eliminations, Drew and Jonathon Scott go head-to-head to claim the title of "Best Brother." The four-episode series, which premieres Wednesday, June 3, at 9 p.m., features fun-filled sibling rivalry, refereed by older brother JD, as the brothers put their ultimate home improvement and house flipping skills to the test. From demolition to sale, the guys buy two Las Vegas fixer uppers and completely renovate every room with their own money. The brother who scores the highest property value increase upon selling their renovated property wins the battle and-most importantly-unlimited bragging rights.
"Drew is about as useful on a construction site as a glass hammer," said Jonathan. "I can use any tool on the construction site, including you," responded Drew. "In addition to keeping them straight on the rules of the game, I'll be there to make sure they don't kill each other," chimed in JD.
HGTV guest judges, which include Jen and Brandon Hatmaker ("Your Big Family Renovation"), David Bromstad and Josh Temple ("Beach Flip"), and Hilary Farr and David Visentin ("Love It or List It"), decide who wins each weekly challenge. To up the ante, the challenge loser must face dares such as dancing in an exotic male revue or wearing an embarrassing costume in the middle of a crowded public place. Armed with their own dream teams of construction crews and design assistants, each brother must bring his A-game to win it all.
Fans can also head to HGTV.com to cast votes for Team Jonathan and Drew, and check out exclusive extended cuts from JD who will be sharing a behind the scenes look at the brothers' on-air and uncensored dares.
"Drew and Jonathon have a feisty, fun sibling rivalry that viewers love to watch," said Allison Page, general manager, HGTV and DIY Network. "With the ratings success of previous seasons, we were always left with one unanswered question: Which of the brothers would win if competing one-on-one? This season will definitely answer that question for their biggest fans."
