How To Get Away With Murder - The Complete Second Season

Michael Cox READ TIME: 3 MIN.

A lot of diverse and manipulative sex marks the second season of "How to Get Away with Murder," (including scenes so steamy you'll be surprised they're on network television) as well as a lot of violence and a cast of characters who all pretty much have blood on their hands.

The high-profile criminal case this season involves a brother and sister accused of killing their adoptive parents - so it's not surprising that there's also some incest in the mix. Law professor and criminal defense attorney Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) is now a bisexual, at least when it conveniently helps her to enlist the services of another attorney. This season introduces Famke Janssen as Eve Rothlo, a brilliant defense attorney with a fondness for Annalise and a history of heartache from her.

The Middleton University law students, whom Annalise helped to cover up the murder of her husband, don't let too much guilt or a fear of getting caught inhibit their active sex lives either.

Two of the students are sleeping with Annalise's employees: overachieving good girl Laurel Castillo with hired thug Frank Delfino and privileged dork Asher Millstone with Associate Lawyer Bonnie Winterbottom. They say that office romances never work, especially when they're weighed down by the baggage of blackmail, a covered-up rape and a handful of first-degree murders.

Connor Walsh can't wait for his PrEP to kick in so that he can start having sex with his HIV positive boyfriend Oliver, a precocious hacker who wants to step out from behind his computer and start seeing some action. And the virginal Michaela Pratt is looking for action too - Where? - the dreamy blue-eyed, brown skinned client who might be boinking his sister.

Last season's star pupil Wes Gibbins is filled with doubt, even though he wants to trust Annalise, she may be the responsible for his missing girlfriend. But is this reason enough to shoot her?

Someone has shot Annalise, and in a series of flashbacks and flashforwards this season will eventually tell us who.

Is this season as good as last year's? The best place to find out is on this four DVD collection which includes all 15 episodes of the second season, deleted scenes and bloopers.
