Watch: Disney+ Doesn't Censor Hugh Jackman's Butt in 'X-Men' Film
READ TIME: 1 MIN.
Disney has been notoriously family-friendly since the launch of its new streaming service Disney+, most recently forcing Lin-Manuel Miranda to edit curse words out of the filmed version of "Hamilton." The company also ran into some issues when filming the "Lizzie McGuire" reboot due to the show's adult themes and even sent "Love, Victor" to stream on Hulu over similar reasons.
Despite all that, Disney+ is very cool with showing you Hugh Jackman's butt.
Variety reports that the company didn't edit or censor the actor's brief nude scene in "X-Men: Days of Future Past," which recently hit the streaming platform. The publication goes on to note that Disney did censor Daryl Hannah's behind in a scene from the 1984 comedy "Splash."
Jackman, who plays Wolverine in the "X-Men" series, took to Instagram to react to the news, sharing a clip of the scene with an emoji covering his behind.
"'Days Of Future Past' becomes the first movie to air on Disney+ uncensored," he captioned the post. "That was my future but let's be honest ... it's more like my past."
"Deadpool" actor Ryan Reynolds responded to his post, commenting: "Excited for them to do the same for Deadpool. It's time children knew."
