Watch: Fox News' Tucker Carlson Triggered When Guest Corrects His Pronunciation of Kamala Harris

READ TIME: 1 MIN.

Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson had a meltdown on live TV Tuesday night after he was triggered by a guest who corrected his pronunciation of Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif), The Hill reports.

After presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden announced that Harris would be his running mate, Carlson spoke with Richard Goodstein, a Democratic strangest and former adviser to Hillary Clinton. During the segment, he corrected the Fox News anchor over the way he was pronouncing "Kamala," promoting Carlson to melt down.

"Her name is pronounced 'Comma' – like the punctuation mark – 'la,'" Goodstein said. "Seriously, I've heard every sort of bastardization of that. That's how it is. 'Comma-la.'"

"OK, so what?" Carlson responded, visibly upset.

"I think out of respect for somebody who's going to be on the national ticket," Goldstein said. "Pronouncing her name right is actually kind of a bare minimum."

"So I'm disrespecting her by mispronouncing her name unintentionally? So it begins," Carlson said before purposefully mispronouncing the senator's name. "You're not allowed to criticize 'Ka-MAL-a' or 'KAM-a-la' or whatever it is–"

"No, no, no. It's not 'whatever,'" Goodstein interrupted.

"Look, I unintentionally mispronounced her name," Carlson said, adding that Harris is not "immune from criticism."

"On this show nobody in power is immune from criticism. Our political leaders must be held to account – that's our job," Carlson went on to say.

The moment went viral on Twitter and has been viewed more than 1.6 million times.
