Adam Driver Morphs Into a Centaur in Thirst-Trapping Burberry Ad
READ TIME: 1 MIN.
In a leaked Burberry ad, Adam Driver appears to morph into a centaur, but not before showing off his ripped body.
Driver, whose breakout role was on HBO's "Girls," has gone on to become one of Hollywood's go-to actors for both serious roles ("Marriage Story") and more popcorn fare (the "Star Wars" franchise).
In the surrealistic ad, the Daily Mail writes, the 37-year old actor "stripped off his shirt and ran full speed into the ocean to have an intimate encounter with a horse. The clip continued to get more absurd after the star emerged from the sea to reveal Adam's silhouette as a centaur – a mythical half-man/half-horse hybrid."
Vulture described the ad this way: "Driver's new commercial for Burberry Hero, which Fragrantica.com informs us is 'chief creative officer Riccardo Tisci's first fragrance for the house,' finds the actor going for a shirtless sunset swim alongside a horse, the most heroic of animals. In an act of true beauty, their souls eventually merge – horse becomes man, man becomes horse, Oscar-nominated actor becomes centaur."
The ad comes amid the production of Driver's upcoming movie, "House of Gucci," directed by Ridley Scott and co-starring Lady Gaga. In the film, Driver plays Guccio Gucci's grandson, Maurizio. "The film is a dramatization of Maurizio's shocking murder and Gaga plays his ex-wife Patrizia Reggiani, who was tried and convicted for plotting his demise in 1995," writes Hollywood Life.
Driver tweeted the video clip and immediately got responses on social media – see what users are saying about it below:
