Erik Braverman, Out Senior VP of LA Dodgers, Engaged to Boyfriend

Erik Braverman, an openly gay senior vice president with the Los Angles Dodgers, proposed to his boyfriend over the weekend, and the two are now engaged to be married, LGBTQ athletics site Outsports reports.

Braverman and Jonathan Cottrell, a French-born "engineer and model," have been dating for two years, OutSports noted, going on to detail that Braverman "popped the marriage question in Las Vegas," and "Cottrell said yes!"

Braverman "has pushed the organization and Major League Baseball for broader and deeper LGBTQ inclusion efforts," OutSports recalled, adding that he, "along with CMO Lon Rosen, has pushed the team to fully embrace the LGBTQ community in elevated ways, leading to the largest annual Pride Night in all of sports."

Indeed, the Dodger's 2019 Pride Night drew more fans to the stadium than any event in the previous seven seasons, the site noted at the time.

Braverman was promoted to the post of Senior Vice President, Marketing, Communications and Broadcasting at the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2018, a job that "makes Braverman one of the most powerful publicly out LGBTQ people in professional sports," Outsports reported at the time.

Cottrell shared the news of the engagement by posting a photo to Instagram of himself and Braverman on Aug. 15, in which the two show off their engagement rings.
