Kevin Spaceywas spotted on a film set in California for his new movie "Peter Five Eight," marking one of the first times the disgraced out actor has been seen working in the U.S. since allegations of sexual assault were made against him.

Spaceywas seen on the set in Dunsmuir,California, on August 24, reports the Daily Mail.

Dressed in black, the 62-year-old double-Oscar winner was seen smiling while lighting up a cigarette surrounded by the crew. This is Spacey's second film since being accused of sexual assault in 2017, which sent his career in a tailspin. Spacey recently shot his role for the film "L'uomo che disegno Dio" ("The Man Who Drew God") in Italy for actor/director Franco Nero.

"I'm very happy Kevin agreed to participate in my film," Nero told ABC News earlier this year. "I consider him a great actor and I can't wait to start the movie."

"Spacey parted ways with Netflix's 'House of Cards' in late 2017 after at least 20 young men reported alleged sexual misconduct by Spacey at the London theater, the Old Vic, between 1995 and 2013. Investigators have not said whether they will bring criminal charges against Spacey in connection with those accusations," added ABC News.

"The indie production is directed and written byMichael Zaiko Hall, whose career highlights involve visual effects work on 'Cars 3' and 'Incredibles 2,' and will also star Jet Jandreau although little else is known about the film, such as a synopsis," writes the DM.
