Move over, Kim Kardashian: British model and actor Cara Delevingne, who identifies as pansexual, has signed on to the cast of "American Horror Story" for the upcoming 12th season.
Delevingne was spotted by eagle-eyed fans as she filmed for the series on location in New York City together with Emma Roberts, UK newspaper the Daily Mail reported.
Fans recognized the host of Hulu's "Planet Sex" even though she was hidden underneath "a dark wig with a heavy fringe and her face was masked by red shades," the Mail said.
"The Hollywood star made the sidewalk a catwalk as she strutted around NYC in red platform boots," the report detailed. "Cara's Cruelle De Vil-esque character took an eccentric spin on gothic glamour in the quirky boots and red leather gloves which she teamed with a pencil skirt and dramatic ruffle hem blazer."
Her character clearly knows how to accessorize: "As filming began, Cara was pictured smoking from a cigarette holder," the Mail went on to note.
89.7 Bay reported that the upcoming "12th season of the show, tentatively titled 'Delicate,' is said to be based on Danielle Valetine's forthcoming novel, 'Delicate Condition.'"
"The plot revolves around Anna Alcott, an actress who yearns for a family," the article continued. "She decides to undergo IVF treatment in order to conceive, but strange and unsettling events begin to occur, putting her dreams of motherhood in jeopardy."
"While [it is] Cara's first time in 'American Horror Story,' Emma previously starred in the franchise from 2013 until 2019 during season three, season four, season seven and season eight," the Mail recalled.
Reports say that another co-star for the 12th season of "AHS" is Kim Kardashian. Ryan Murphy collaborator and Broadway icon Patti LuPone, who starred on two seasons of the horror anthology as well as Murphy's alternate history series "Hollywood," gave vent to her feelings about Kardashian's involvement on an episode of "Watch What Happens Live," and her reaction was more "gag me" than gleeful.
As previously reported, LuPone and fellow guest John Leguizamo were playing a round of "Do They Give a Damn?" with host Andy Cohen when Cohen raised the question of Kardashian's involvement with the show's next season.
Agreeing with Cohen that Kardashian is depriving actors of roles by taking such gigs – tantamount to saying Kardashian can't act – LuPone said acidly, "Excuse me, excuse me, Kim. You know, what are you doing with your life? Don't get on the stage, Mrs Worthington."
"The Mrs. Worthington dig was a reference to a Noël Coward song about a momager who shouldn't be putting her big-butted butterface of a daughter on stage," Vulture clarified.
Leguizamo didn't dare disagree. "Whatever she said, I double the emotion!" the comic declared, prompting laughter all around.
