Will Cher Take Mariah Carey's 'Queen of Christmas' Crown?

When Christmas comes around, will it be a battle over who can sleigh the hardest between Mariah Carey and Cher?

The Mirror UK is reporting that Carey is furious over Cher seemingly encroaching upon her territory with a Christmas album.

"Christmas is Mariah's cash cow and, like a spoiled child, she doesn't want to share," a source told the Mirror. "She truly seems to think she owns the holiday."

Everyone knows Mama Lamb Carey became the "Queen of Christmas" thanks to her 1994 hit "All I Want For Christmas Is You." Or do they?

Carey was reportedly furious when Christina Aguilera dropped a holiday album in 2000 called "My Kind of Christmas." And now, according to the source, she is directing that same anger at Cher.

But Cher couldn't be less bothered.

An insider close to Cher called Mariah's response "pathetic."

"It's pretty pathetic because Cher hasn't said a word against her, but Mariah's been trashing Cher for daring to put out a Christmas album."

This is all speculation, of course. And we won't believe a word of it until it comes from the lamb's mouth.
