It's been some time since Frank Ocean released new music, but he seems set to change that soon, teasing fresh material with a one-minute snippet at his Instagram Stories.

Ocean "did not offer further information about the song," Pitchfork reported. "It's a small bit of new music that nonetheless marks the most substantial release by Ocean in recent years."

Pitchfork noted that Ocean "hasn't released a new song since April 2020 when he put out 'Cayendo' and 'Dear April.'

"A planned single for the end of that year was scrapped," the article went on to add.

Even his much-anticipated set at Coachella" last April offered no new music, though at the time that "Ocean and his band delivered strong, often dramatically rearranged performances of many songs" in a set that was delayed more than an hour and ended early.

More disappointment for fans followed when Ocean canceled his planned appearance at the festival's second weekend,
reportedly due to a leg injury that involved "two fractures and a sprain," according to a festival spokesperson.

Even though the truncated performance was derided as "a mess," Ocean "hinted that a new album was coming, but 'not right now'," Pitchfork recounted.

It looks like might not be much longer!
