'I Gasped Out Loud' - 'White Lotus' Star Natasha Rothwell Teases Season 3

It probably won't be until 2025 that we find out what Mike White has in store for Season 3, but returning cast member Natasha Rothwell teased that the wait will be worth it.

The actor, who starred on the hit series' first season as a spa manager enticed by an offer from the wealthy Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge), has been confirmed as returning in the role of Belinda when the show relocates to Thailand for its third outing.

Vanity Fair reported that, according to Rothwell, she has "read all of White's scripts for season three, and the new storylines left her in shock."

Though "Rothwell was mum on any specific details about Belinda's arc in the upcoming season," it might tell us something that the actor admitted that she "gasped out loud a minimum of five times" while reading White's scripts.

To judge from White's own comments on the upcoming season, the number of those scripts may be greater than in Seasons 1 and 2. No official episode count has been revealed yet, but in comments last month to Entertainment Weekly, the writer-director teased that Season 3 is "going to be a supersized 'White Lotus.' It's going to be longer, bigger, crazier."

Rothwell reflected on working with White on Season 1, telling Vanity Fair, "When we did the first season, we sat down and talked a lot about Belinda and he was so receptive to feedback, and so we plan to approach it the same way" for Season 3, which has not started filming yet.

"In the meantime," Vanity Fair noted, "Rothwell gets to sing and dance opposite Timothée Chalamet in the musical film 'Wonka,' out in theaters December 15."
