Tilda Swinton Hints at Upcoming Project with Out Filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar

Swinton has hardly shied away from roles that blur gender lines, such as when she donned a mustache this year for Casper Sejersen's short "All Kinds of Love," played the androgynous Archangel Gabriel in the 2005 supernatural thriller "Constantine," and – maybe? kinda? – brought another androgynous vibe to her recurring role as The Ancient One in various MCU movies. She even more or less played a female version of David Bowie in 2015's "A Bigger Splash."

And Swinton's filmography is littered with LGBTQ+ classics: Sally Potter's "Orlando" stands out, as does the overlooked "Love is the Devil: Study for a Portrait of Francis Bacon" (which also starred a young Daniel Craig).

Whatever Almodóvar and Apichatpong have in mind, they are in good hands with Swinton. Meanwhile, you can watch the "Problemista" trailer below.
