Queer Celebrity Relationships of 2023: Those Who Fell Out of Love
Andrea Marks Joseph READ TIME: 8 MIN.
It's been a year of ups and downs, and celebs are not excluded from the rollercoaster rides of heart-fluttering romances and heartbroken exes. We're taking a look back at the queer celebs who fell in and out of love this year.
The breakups, of course, came with shock and sadness. Below find out the romances that came to an end in 2023. (And we're always gonna celebrate queer romance, so click here to check out those who fell in love.)
Lukas Gage & Chris Appleton
This couple fell both in and out of love in the span of this rollercoaster year. Rumors of their romance began swirling in February, and their love blossomed into a thrilling announcement that Appleton's hairstyling client and friend Kim Kardashian had officiated their Vegas wedding ceremony in April, with a surprise performance by Shania Twain. The couple very professionally, and also probably contractually, waited until after their wedding episode aired on the Kardashian family's reality show (less than a week after, in fact) before Gage filed for divorce six months later.
Hunter Schafer & Dominic Fike
A romance that began on set of "Euphoria" became a real life adventure for these edgy young stars, who were frequently seen at music festivals together, and always exuded a laid-back but ultra-fashionable vibe. The actress and musician posted many unserious couple photos together, always looking like they were having a blast in their own world together. In July, their relationship ended after a year and a half.
Antoni Porowski & Kevin Harrington
Though they were engaged for over a year, and there was quite a controversy caused after Porowski did not invite most of his "Queer Eye" costars to his bachelor party (though he very specifically did invite and post photos of Tan France at the intimate gathering), the couple called of the engagement "after many conversations and reflection during the wedding planning process."
