Is 'Twilight' a Gay Movie? Kristen Stewart Thinks So

Was "Twilight" a gay movie? Star Kristen Stewart sure thinks so.
In a new interview with Variety, Stewart explained that in her eyes the franchise films were "such a gay movie" but she admits it probably didn't mean to start out that way.
"I mean, Jesus Christ, Taylor (Lauther) and Rob and me, and it's so hidden and not OK," said Stewart, adding that the story is "all about oppression, about wanting what's going to destroy you."
She added, "That's a very Gothic, gay inclination that I love."
In a movie for Variety, Stewart also remembered what it was like to play her character Bella in "Twilight" and be a teenager again.
An Oscar nominee, Stewart came out as gay in 2017, and explained that "Twilight's" gayness seems to be something she has only recently been able to see now. But she argues, "the fact that I was there at all, it was percolating."
