Watch: Ross Lynch Wasn't First Pick for Troye Sivan's 'One of Your Girls' Video

READ TIME: 2 MIN.

Ross Lynch burned up the screen opposite Troye Sivan in drag for the "One of Your Girls" video, but it's come to light that he wasn't the first choice for the role. Guess who was.

Actually, the scuttlebutt is that there were not one, but two hot male stars in contention before Lynch landed the part, Just Jared reported.

"If you didn't see the video, the 28-year-old former Disney star appears in the sensual music video shirtless," Just Jared recapped, "and the 28-year-old Australian singer seduces him while dressed in drag."

But had things turned out differently, Sivan could have gotten his glam on for TikTok star and model Vinnie Hacker instead, the outlet relayed, relying on comments made by YouTuber Zach Sang on his "The Zach Sang Show."

"While interviewing Ross and his brother and bandmate, Rocky Lynch, Zach shared that Troye was on the show a few weeks prior," Just Jared explained, adding that from what he understood Hacker was envisioned to be in the video before Lynch came on board.

During the interview, Lynch recalled how he was asked to appear in the video the day before it was due to be shot. "'Hey, Troye wants you to be in this music video,'" he recalled being told. "'Can you fly to New York tonight?' And I was like, 'Yeah, let's do it!'"

Asked what the pitch for the video was, Lynch recalled, "They just sent me the idea. They were like, 'Hey, Troye's gonna be in drag, and you're gonna be his love interest.'"

Lynch went on to describe his on-set experience, relating that "the first time I met Troye, he was already in drag," and saying that Sivan was "sweet." Asked if he thought that the video would be a hit, he replied, "I felt it like was going to be a moment. I didn't think people were going to dress up as us for Halloween," he added, perhaps referring to photos posted on Instagram by nonbinary pop singer G Flip and their wife Chrishell Stause, "but I definitely thought, you know, it was a juicy concept for sure."

The subject came up after Sang asked Lynch about being a sex symbol. Lynch replied that he started out in entertainment as a dancer and added, "When you're a dancer growing up, we're always half naked," he explained. "It's normal – and that's how we grew up."

Asked if he found being a "sex symbol" to be "objectifying," Lynch said, "No," then asked for an explanation of what Sang meant. "I feel like, historically, for women that makes more sense," he said. "I don't feel that way."

But it gets better still: "Ross and Rocky heard that 'Saltburn' star Jacob Elordi was chosen first," the article detailed.

Imagine either of them in Lynch's place in the sizzling video!
