Australian singer Kylie Minogue shared a special moment with iconic actor Laverne Cox on the Grammys red carpet Sunday night, sending out heartfelt thanks to her queer fans, People Magazine reported.

Minogue told Cox, who was covering the red carpet for E!, that winning a Grammy for one of 2023's songs of the summer, "Padam Padam," left her an emotional wreck. "I've screamed, I've cried.... I was shaking, I'm so overwhelmed," the singer told Cox after picking up the prize for Best Pop Dance Recording.

It was only the second time that Minogue, 55, was awarded a Grammy, the first one being bestowed to her two decades ago when she took the prize for Best Dance Recording in 2004 for her hit "Come Into My World," People Mag recalled.

As previously reported, "Padam Padam" was hailed as a song of the summer right away when it dropped with a sizzling video last May.

"Padam Padam" was the lead single from Minogue's album "Tension," a project which, she said in a Twitter post, was "a blend of personal reflection, club abandon and melancholic highs!"

Gay fans quickly embraced the anthem, which describes a potential lover's hammering heartbeat.

Cox, an actress and prominent advocate for the transgender community, noted that Minogue is "such an icon in the LGBTQ+ community," saying, "our community loves you, and loved us back."

"What would you want to say to all your queer fans out there on this momentous occasion?" Cox asked the songstress.

"I would say thank you for being with me for such a long time now, through thick and thin. We ride the highs and the lows and the in-betweens, and to know that we've got each other's backs... And this feels like the start of the next era for us," Minogue said.

Minogue was the first artist to take the new award, which was inaugurated this year at the Grammys' 66th iteration. People Magazine noted that "Padam Padam" won against a slate of strong tunes, including the other song of the summer, Troye Sivan's "Rush."
