The Things that 'Boulevard of Bold Dreams''s Samantha Jane Williams Can't Perform Without

Christopher Ehlers READ TIME: 7 MIN.

New York-based actor Samantha Jane Williams is currently starring as Hattie McDaniel in LaDarrion Williams' "Boulevard of Bold Dreams," a fictional retelling of Oscar Night in 1940, the night that McDaniel made history as the first African American to win an Oscar.

She has performed extensively with Bedlam Ensemble, where she also served as producer and company manager, and has also appeared on Peacock's "Dr. Death," Fox's "The Resident," and NBC's "Law & Order." Here are the things that Williams can't perform without:

Bio Oil

"I love Bio Oil, especially during the colder months. It protects my face and skin from the harshness of the cold weather. My skin feels healthy, alive, and bright. This is a product where a little goes a long way. I make sure to use a little right after a good shower during my morning routine." $25, Target.

Hydra Peak Pink Water Bottle

"This water bottle is my safety blanket that definitely has a purpose. I don't go anywhere without it. It is so important to stay hydrated throughout the day. You have long rehearsals and days where you have more than one show and when you do a lot of talking and singing, it's important to keep yourself hydrated and your vocal cords hydrated and healthy. I purchased this water bottle at my local Marshalls in Westchester, New York!" $25, Hydra Peak.

Peppermint and Jammin' Lemon Zinger Celestial Seasonings Tea

"I am obsessed with these two teas and drink a lot of tea starting in the morning with my morning meal. It's a great way to stay warm, stick to a ritual, and destress from a long day at the theatre." $3.79, Target.

Vicks Personal Steam Inhaler

"I don't think there isn't an actor or singer who has one of these. Your sinuses can be one way one minute, and then another the next. It soothes your sinuses and provides relief, so you sound healthy and clear. Also, it isn't something you have to do for a long time. 10-15 minutes of your time is all it takes." $62, Target.

Dr. Dennis Gross Pro Facial Steamer

"I use this after any long day. It is a great way to bring the spa to you. I made this a part of my selfcare routine because self-care is important when you're doing a production. Your schedule is all over the place, and it's important to carve out time to focus on your needs. It's a relaxing way to wind down and prepare to tackle the next day." $159, Sephora.
