The Things that 'Camelot''s Taylor Trensch Can't Perform Without

Christopher Ehlers READ TIME: 6 MIN.

Currently causing a heap of trouble in Lincoln Center Theater's revival of "Camelot," Broadway star Taylor Trensch stars as Mordred, King Arthur's illegitimate, manipulative son who arrives in Camelot looking to destroy the Knights of the Round Table.

From "Matilda the Musical" to "Hello, Dolly!," "Dear Evan Hansen," and our personal favorite, "Bare," Trensch has become one of Broadway's surest bets. Here are the things he can't perform without.

Ole Henriksen Banana Bright + Vitamin CC Stick

"I've had dark circles under my eyes since birth. Came out lookin' like a harried, overextended professor. This color-correcting under-eye stick reduces the likelihood of the audience recoiling when I walk onstage." $34, Sephora.

Fontus Blood Orange Lozenges

"These throat lozenges were created by one of the best in the biz, Kaitlin Hopkins. If you're not familiar with her oeuvre, I suggest listening to the original cast recording of 'Bat Boy: The Musical' immediately. I pop one of these in my mouth before every show hoping it'll transform my voice into hers, but I'm forever destined to sound like gay Kermit." $14.95, Fontus.

Smashbox Halo Cream Cheek + Lip Tint

"I'm playing a 14-year-old in 'Camelot' but I'm, um... a little bit older than that in real life. Our brilliant make-up designer, Kirk Cambridge-Del Pesche, gave me this cream blush to create that 'sweaty, out-of-breath child on the playground asking their parent for juice' look." $28, Smashbox.

Strangers to Ourselves by Rachel Aviv

"I've got a lot of downtime in the show, and fear if I spend one more second looking at my phone my brain will atrophy to the point of goo and slide right out of my head. So, I'm trying to replace that habit with reading. Right now, I'm in the middle of Rachel Aviv's astonishing and gripping 'Strangers to Ourselves'." $21, Amazon.

Tower 28 SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray

"This is the first time I've had to wear make-up onstage in a long time and my skin is, like, '...don't.' After each performance, I've started spraying my face with this mist that's supposed to help with irritation. I'm not sure if it's actually doing anything, but it makes me feel like Zoe Kravitz filming a 'Get Ready With Me' video for Vogue, so I'll never stop." $28, Sephora.
